Brooklyn's Saoirse Ronan wears white sheer blouse and cigarette pants
Earlier this week she received a nomination in the Best Actress category for the 2016 Oscars.
So proving that she is very much deserving of the title, Saoirse Ronan was every inch the leading lady on Friday evening in New York.
Attending the MoMA Film's The Contender's Screening of Brooklyn, the 21-year-old looked chic in a monochrome ensemble as she took to the spotlight.

At the event, the actress was joined by Rajendra Roy, who is the chief curator of film and media at the Museum of Modern Art.

Brooklyn, which nominated for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars, tells the tale of young immigrant from Ireland who falls in love with an Italian-American in New York.
Set in the 1950s, the love story takes a turn when the lead character returns home to find herself deciding between life in the Big Apple or in Ireland, where she meets another man.
Directed by John Crowley, the film also stars Emory Cohen, Domhnall Gleeson, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters and Jessica Paré.
Upon its release the film received rave reviews and on February 28, 2016, Ronan will battle it out against Cate Blanchett, Charlotte Rampling, Brie Larson and Jennifer Lawrence for the Best Actress trophy at the Academy Awards.

Speaking about the moment she found out she was up for the coveted award, Saoirse told GMA: 'I was asleep and my mom ran in and she was crying and so it was either good news or bad news and it was great news. I’m going to start crying now, but to get Best Actress and to get Best Picture means the absolute world to us.'
The multi award winning actress later released an official statement, which read: 'When we made Brooklyn, we had no idea of what was to come. It is the most personal film I have ever done, the hardest one too.
'I am honoured to represent this film with my friends - John, Nick, Finola, Yves, Colm, Amanda. This has all been a dream. To see how the film has been embraced has been heartwarming.'
She added: 'Thank you so very much to The Academy - you are a group of people I respect greatly and to be recognized by you means so much. Thank you!'
